Abbey Sant' Anna in Camprena
The well-known Munich artist Emö Simonyi, an instructor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich invites you to a painting and drawing workshop in Italy in the romantic abby of Sant' Anna in Camprena (50 km south-east from Siena). The unique setting was also the venue for the famous film "The English Patient".

Course
description
Aim of the course is to open for the participants new perspectives in
style and technique. Subjects included are
the human body, portrait, landscape and still life. Cycles in composition for drawing
and painting up to abstract interpretation are studied. The course is
also ideal for preparation for further studies of fine arts.
Dates
The courses
will be held from August 23 to September 5, 2010. Lessons are held in
the morning from 10 until 13 and in the afternoon from 15 to 18 hours.
The courses always begin on Monday and end on Saturday. Arrival and
departure is always on Sunday.
Booking is possible for one or two weeks.
Fees
Course fees are as follows: one week Euro 270, two weeks Euro 470.The fees
for accomodation inclusive half pension (dinner) per person and week are:

out the registration form
and send it per post or e-mail to the indicated address. After
reception of the participation confirmation, the fee for the art course
itself has to be transfered to the indicated account within 14 days.
Accompanying persons who do not participate in the art workshop have to
pay an advance of 140 Euro per week for the room. The fees
for board and room have to be payed cash in Sant' Anna.
Cancellation
A
cancellation fee of 30% of the workshop and accomodation fee
must be withheld if
you cancel your booking after April 30.
Directions
to Sant' Anna in Camprena
It is
preferable to travel by car. From Munich to Chiusi there is a direct
connection with an evening train with sleeping-car. If you arrive by
the night train at Chiusi on Sunday morning, it is possible to make
arrangements for pick-up at the Chiusi station. The next international airport is
Florence. There you can rent a car to Sant´ Anna (136 km) or go by train to Buonconvento.

accompanying a student can inquire about a Italian language course.
